John Constantine is a cynical and enigmatic occult detective appearing in DC Comics. He first appeared in *The Saga of Swamp Thing* #37 (June 1985) during the Bronze Age of comics.
John Constantine was portrayed by Matt Ryan in the Arrowverse. He first appeared in the *Constantine* TV show on NBC before becoming a recurring character on *Arrow* and then a series regular on *Legends of Tomorrow* on The CW.
